Lighting a candle in prayer of a loved one.

"Holy Space" in the vestry - a place to meet with God.

Friday 14th October 2:30pm– 4:30pm

We had nine people walk the Prayer Labyrinth, like Horton (but they weren't the same ones!). There was a very special atmosphere in the chapel, it was warm and cosy and brought to life.

There was plenty of time to reflect and pray during this journey of exploration.

The labyrinth is one of the oldest contemplative and transformational tools known to humankind, having been used for centuries for prayer, ritual, initiation, and spiritual growth.

The path that takes us to the centre becomes a metaphor for our own spiritual journey.

The labyrinth journey will took us through 11 contemplative stages:

  1. Inward Journey
  2. Noise and interference
  3. Letting Go
  4. Hurts
  5. Distractions
  6. Holy Space
  7. Outward journey
  8. Self
  9. The Planet
  10. Others
  11. Impressions

Watch out for a video tour of the Chapel, coming soon.

What did Rev. Tony have to say about it?

"Pitton – the church became a labyrinth, with stations for reflection as we travelled ‘in’ and ‘out’ – the stillness was almost palpable – time became immaterial....."
