Our slot was on Saturday October 16th from
9am until 12 noon.
We had various activities in the church and the
Wesley Room; a prayer labyrinth, a prayer tree and a table with
craft materials. The vestry was a "quiet room".
We had a communion service to bring the Swansea
and Gower Circuit's time of non-stop prayer to a close at 12 noon.
At that time we passed the torch over to the Carmarthen & Llanelli
Circuits.
A faith lunch followed at 1pm.
A tapestry loaned by Mrs Layton
If this is not a place where tears are understood,
Where can I go to cry?
If this is not a place where my spirit can take wing,
Where do I go to fly?
If this is not a place where my questions can be asked
Where do I go to seek?
If this is not a place where my feelings can be heard
Where do I go to speak?
If this is not a place where I am accepted as I am
Where do I go to be?
If this is not a place where I can try to learn and grow
Where do I just be me?
William
Crockett quoted in “Better together?”
What did Rev. Tony have to say about it?
"Murton – the church again becoming
a labyrinth, with bread and wine at the centre – a prayer
tree and craft-table – stations for reflection with maps and
stones and water - a quiet room..... and a final sharing of bread
and wine in communion, followed by lunch together............."
