Pray Without Ceasing is an initiative of the Methodist Church’s young people, who have called on the whole church to promote a year of non-stop prayer.

A programme of continuous prayer was launched at the Methodist Conference at the end of June 2005 and will run until the end of August 2006. Methodist Districts (33 in Great Britain) are being encouraged to organise continuous prayer events for a week or fortnight within that 14-month period.

The Swansea and Gower Circuit in South Wales, were given a slot of 36 hours between midnight on Thursday 13th October and midday on Saturday 15th October 2005, in which to carry the torch.

Each church within the circuit planned its own events during that time. One of our ministers, Rev. Tony Parkinson, visited each Church during the 36 hours and wrote his thoughts on our time of prayer. You can read his account by clicking here. Extracts from his thoughts are also posted on the individual Church's page.
